Overview
This program takes the small publisher to the highest sales peak possible by creating a complete custom advertising plan that includes improving trade sales--to bookstores, book distributors, library distributors, selling foreign trade rights and book trade shows. In addition, it creates for you a full-spectrum of advertising buys. Here we will pair you with mastermind experts who have worked with authors and publishers appearing on such shows as Larry King Live, Oprah, Coast-to-Coast radio and other significant national broacdast media shows. Issues that will be determined will include: buying of front of store space inside national chains, targeting chain stores with special promotions, consumer advertising buys to drive bookstore, online and direct to consumer sales. This program is for the growing publisher who want to jump 10 levels in 6 months.
Custom Advertising Plan Development Welcome Kit
Immediately after signing up for the Custom Advertising Plan Development Program, you will receive a Welcome Kit by overnight courier that includes a send-back packet. You will slip a copy of your book into this send-back packet along with your Quick Start Q&A form and overnight it back to your DYB Marketing Coach. The next day your marketing coach will call you to set up your Initial Consultation.
Custom Advertising Plan Development Initial Consultation
A DYB Marketing Coach will meet with you by telephone to begin your first consultation. During your first consultation your coach will discuss the overall goals of your publishing program. Your coach will set your direction for completion of your advertising plan and milestones will be calendarized. You will also discuss past successful marketing methods, if your company has been in business for a while. If you are a startup publisher you will discuss your ideal marketing methods.
Custom Advertising Plan Creation and Consultations (Four Weekly Consultations Included)
As your DYB Marketing Coach begins to develop your written Custom Advertising Plan (with marketing and publicity plan included) you will begin weekly meetings by telephone, which are all included in the program. Once per week you will meet with your coach as he or she completes two more sections of your written plan. Your plan will have nine sections.

The last section of your plan will include calendarizing your entire plan to make certain you clearly see, not only what must be done, but when critical elements of your plan must be implemented.
Custom Advertising Plan Development Final Consultation
Once your written plan is completed, you will receive a final copy of the plan by overnight courier and then have a final meeting with your consultant to discuss timing issues and calendarization of your program. All of your final questions will be answered and each issue addressed by your coach. Your marketing coach will suggest specific DYB services that will help you by implementing your Advertising Plan for you and in a reasonable way that fits your roll-out budget. Some publishers hire their DYB coach to negotiate front of store space with bookstore chains such as Barnes & Noble, design and buy ads for them in the book trade journals, and help implement morning radio drive times and TV and/or radio satellite tours. Many clients in the Custom Advertising Plan Program hire DYB coaches to implement their subcampaign elements a little at a time as their program grows. It doesn't matter how you get there... just that you do.
